Mr. J. Ed Horton, Jr.
J. Ed Horton,
Jr. has devoted his life to the Angus business and the American Angus Association. He is a charter member of the Alabama Beef
Cattle Improvement Association (BCIA) and was an early participant in the Angus Herd Improvement Records (AHIR) program. Ed
served as President of the Association in 1979, and enjoyed two terms on the Board of Directors prior to that. He was on the
original Certified Angus Beef Program Committee and provided leadership when the Association purchased the Angus Journal in
1979.
All of these accomplishments and more earned Ed Horton a coveted place in the Angus Heritage Foundation
in November 1995. Ed Horton, Jr. holds a BS Degree in Animal Husbandry from the University of Tennessee and has been inducted
into Auburn University's Alabama Agriculture Hall of Honor.
Mr. Gregg Blythe
Born in Leighton, Alabama in 1945,
and Graduated from the University of Alabama, Gregg Blythe is a well-known and respected leader in the Southeast Angus industry.
Gregg has held numerous positions in the Angus and Beef industry, among them:

A U.S. Army
veteran and Vestry Member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Gregg is married to Lile and together they have four beautiful
daughters, Allison, Amelia, Anna and Susan. Gregg and Lile reside in Decatur, Alabama.
